In 2005, Great Britain hosted
the 16th World Meeting of 2CV Friends. It took
place at Floors Castle, in Kelso, which is in Scotland,
close to the border with England, between 12h00 on
Tuesday 26th July until midnight on Sunday 31st July.
The impressive Floors Castle is the largest inhabited
castle in Scotland and is home to the family of the Duke
of Roxburghe and overlooks the site, and gave a wonderful
backdrop to our meeting.
The site of our meeting was between the castle and the
famous River Tweed. We had 40 hectares of flat, grassy,
land within easy walking distance from the town of
Kelso, where visitors found all the amenities they needed,
from shops, pubs and restaurants to petrol and camping
supplies.
