Garden and courtyard
The property of La Basse-Cour covers about five acres, although most of it is given over to a field which is either growing hay or sheep.
There is also a small vegetable garden (any help with digging, pruning or weeding will be welcomed!) and, on the other side of the driveway, an area set aside for children or barbecues.
The previous owners weren't into gardening. As farmers, they concentrated on vegetables, plus a few spring bulbs. We are gradually introducing shrubs and flowers to add colour but it is, of course, a gradual process.
