Sitting rooms
There is a large sitting room with room to sit a dozen people around two large tables. There are also sufficient settees and armchairs for almost everyone to sit cozily in front of the open fire during cooler evenings.
The sitting room was the formal reception room for the family in times past, so has a huge ceiling rose, ornate outside door opening onto the courtyard and (now hidden) typically French garish wallpaper!
At the other end of the house is a smaller study, which is set up as a quiet reading room. It can be adapted to a comfortable double bedroom.
