You're on your own
This is a day to kick back and do your own thing. There's nothing planned, but everything on offer.

Mont-St-Michel is less than a couple of hours away and most of the journey is on a quiet, free autoroute.
Apparently the tides are ideal if you want to sign up for the barefoot walk accross the sands, with low-tide around the middle of the day.
Cherbourg maritime museum is a little over an hour away.
Saturday is market day in St Lô, which is less than 30 minutes away.
Caen was heavily bombed and shelled, but there are still some surviving old buildings, plus others that have been restored.
In the afternoon a parade of 1940s vehicles will take place in mediaeval Bayeux.
Or in the morning there's the opportunity to watch Vader thrown himself off a semi-derelict 200 year-old railway viaduct.
...or just have a lazy day.
