February is usually the coldest month of the year in Cormolain. Plenty of insulation in the granary means it's still cosy and where better to view the snowy landscape than through double-glazing from a well-insulated room lit by a crackling log fire?
The location of Normandy means that even if there's plenty of snow inland, the coast is usually clear. We found a coastguard path near Carteret on the west coast of the Cotentin peninsula which may have been cut by a biting wind, but was far from, the snow.
