Although the beginning of August was sunny but cool, the latter part warmed up nicely, until the temperatures were constantly in the high 20s and low 30s.
The high point of the month for me was getting married to Stephanie in the local Mairie on the 25th.
We had almost 50 people staying with us at La Basse-Cour. The house and granary were both full to bursting point and we had quite a number of tents on the field as well. The day before saw almost uninterrupted rain and strong winds which put a bit of a dampener on preparations and saw the kitchen and sitting room even fuller than expected.
Luckily, the 25th was sunny and dry and, I hope, a good time was had by all.
