The driveway after a light snowfall
After spending the winter in the UK it was good to return to Normandy, even though it was just for a long weekend.
On the plus side, the converted granary was cosy and comfortable. On the negative side, we found that we'd had some unwelcome visitors. Thieves had broken into the farmhouse and outbuildings. They helped themselves to all our wines and spirits, plus a few things of more sentimental value. Fortunately, they didn't cause much damage, so it could have been very much worse. Looking on the bright side, they must have realised that there is very little of value to steal. Hopefully, they've told all their friends not to bother breaking in again!
